Survivor WeekendMay 16 - 18, 2008 CAN YOU SURVIVE CAMP YOGI??? The weekend will be filled with challenges including an obstacle course, tug of war & three-legged race. Special contest for the Adventurous Eater. FREE AMENITY WEEKEND!! Summer Bash May 23 - 26, 2008 Start your summer fun at Yogi Bear Jellystone Maryland!! Pony Rides, karaoke, pool games, horseshoes, NEW!! Sand Volleyball. Back by popular demand music by Glen Shelton, national recording artist. Death By Chocolate May 30, 2008 - June 1, 2008 Chocolate, Chocolate, CHOCOLATE!!!!!!! Everything is chocolate: pudding, wrestling, slip and slides, chocolate pitch burst & finger painting, chocolate crafts, chocolate ice cream sundaes, chocolate bar BINGO. MMMMMMMM!! Mardi Gras June 6 - 8, 2008 Outside of New Orleans...where else can you make a Mardi Gras Mask, be this year's Parade King & Queen, march in our Mardi Gras parade to see how many beads you can catch. And dance the night away with DVK Entertainment? Why it's Yogi Bear, Jellystone Park Maryland! Sports Week June 12 - 22, 2008 We'll play all week long; baseball, soccer, swimming, hockey, basketball, football, volleyball, dodge ball, laser tag, Frisbee golf, mini-golf, horseshoes and more....Play in the Home Run derby and watch sports movies on the big screen. Wild Wild West June 23 - 29, 2008 Yogi has gone to the Wild West. Wear your cowboy/cowgirl hats & boots in our Best Dressed Western Wear Contest. Line dance, learn the 2-step and go on a poker run. Wagon rides & pony rides. You're in for a foot stomping, hand slapping good time! Happy Birthday America June 30, 2008 - July 6, 2008 Let's celebrate America all week long. Dress in your best patriotic clothes, picnic with Yogi, bring your band instruments and march with our staff in our parade. Decorate your bike or golf cart for the parade. Make red, white and blue crafts, tye dye and ceramics. Enjoy DVK Entertainment, Karaoke, pony rides and face painting. Battle of the Sexes Week July 7 - 13, 2008 Back by popular demand. It's boys vs girls the war is waged. Compete in all kinds of activities; mini-golf, inner-tube races, hula hoops, sack races, volleyball, board games, pedal cart races to see which sex is superior! We'll end the week on Saturday with kids vs parents where kids make the rules. Look out Mom & Dad! Beach Party July 14 - 20, 2008 The sun is out!! Bounce beach balls, build sand castles, play sand volleyball, make shell & sand art, play beach blanket BINGO. Remember beach bum music & the twist? Glen Shelton will entertain you at the Sunset Theatre on Saturday night. Winter Wonderland July 21 - 27, 2008 Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow. We'll ice skate, have snow ball fights, Santa will stop by to see the "good" boys & girls. Bring your holiday decorations and decorate your site. Prizes for the the best decorations. Help Yogi decorate our tree. You can make Christmas ornaments and ceramics. Oldies but Goodies Week July 28, 2008 - August 3, 2008 DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN---American Bandstand made "Rock-n-Roll" an era that would be remembered forever? The Beatles, poodle skirts, bobby socks and saddle shoes are fond memories for all. Join Yogi, Cindy and BooBoo as we dance to some of your favorite 50's, 60's , 70's & 80's music. Do you look like "Elvis" or sing like "Elvis"? Enter our contest!!!! Wet & Wild August 4 - 10, 2008 Wear your slicker if you don't want to get wet. Get ready for water balloons, pitch burst, slip-n-slides, wet sponge ball, water gun battles and of course pool games. Play water basketball, polo & volleyball. If you think you will stay dry this week...think again! Of course you'll enjoy all the regular activiteis; BINGO, Arts & Crafts, wagon rides, karaoke, dance, and much more!! Jellystone goes to the Animals August 11 - 17, 2008 Camping on a site....Bring your pets (dogs, cats or birds only please) so they can march in the pet parade and have fun all week long. Enter your pet in funniest pet trick contest, beauty contests, pet/owner look alike contest. Pet pictures with Yogi. Visit the farm animal petting zoo, pony rides, & attend the reptile show. We'll have grooming clinics for your furry friends. Sorry no pets in cabins. Weekend at the Races August 22 - 24, 2008 We'll race almost anything, pedal carts, bikes, sacks, swim, 3 legs, box cars. Decorate your site with your favorite NASCAR driver flags and watch the NASCAR race on the big screen. Pirates of Jellystone Park August 29, 2008 - September 1, 2008 Ahoy Mate! Take the Pirate Code of Conduct, find the pirate's treasure chest by geo-caching, play capture the flag, and race pirate ships. Get a kid friendly pirate tattoo. Spend the last weekend of summer and Labor Day with Yogi and his pirate friends. Saturday evening enjoy the contemporary Blue Grass Band "Roadside Cafe". Chili cook-off/football Weekend September 12 - 14, 2008 Rah!Rah! Goooo Yogi!!! It's a football extravaganza!! Enter the punt & pass or cheerleading competition & play flag football. Dress in your high school or college colors for our Homecoming rally and tail gate party. What's football without chili? Enter our 3rd annual chili cook-off contest. It may be fall but we're going to have a Hot time this weekend. Free amenity weekend and last weekend for the water zone! Junior Ranger Weekend September 19 - 21, 2008 Calling all Junior Rangers!! Kids and parents spend the weekend at our exciting environmental education program. You will learn forest fire safety, campfire cooking, and campsite etiquette. Hike our trails and find whooo lives here. Attend knot, orienteering and gem mining workshops. Earn our Junior Ranger Badges. Bring your GPS units and go geo-caching. Pumpkin Patch September 26 - 28, 2008 It's Halloween without the scare. Kids...be sure to wear costumes in our parade and then trick-r-treat throughout the park. You can decorate pumpkins and your sites. Prizes for single sites and groups. We'll tye-dye Halloween t-shirts and look for the great pumpkin. Karaoke on Friday and dance with DVK and the Bears on Saturday night. MONGO vs. PUMPKIN KING October 3, 2008 - November 2, 2008 Join the Bears for a Howling good time!! We kick off the weekends with Karaoke and Candy Bar BINGO. Saturday starts with Halloween crafts, ceramics and pumpkin painting, a costume parade & judging. Followed by Trick-r-treating throughout the park. Decorate your site and compete for prizes as individual or group sites. After the sun goes down, beware it's MONGO vs PUMPKIN KING and see whooo else lurks on the trail while DVK provides spirited music. Country Craft Weekend November 7 - 9, 2008 All weekend long we will be making country crafts; bird houses, wreaths, quilt hangings, holiday decorations, ceramics and more. Star Search November 14 - 16, 2008 A star studded weekend, learn about the night sky's stars and planets. We'll look at sky maps and weather permitting view the stars through a telescope. It's a first quarter moon and near the time for the Leonoids meteor shower. We'll make star studded crafts, go on a moon light wagon ride and watch science fiction movies. Get Ready for the Holidays November 21 - 23, 2008 The Bears want you to help them decorate the park for the holidays. Make holiday ornaments and crafts. Shop Santa's workshop for a special gift and wrap them in your own home-made wrapping paper. We'll turn on the holiday lights Saturday night and have a light stick parade. Watch holiday movies and drink hot chocolate. Time to Say Good-Bye to Yogi, Cindy and BooBoo November 28 - 30, 2008 (Baby its Cold Outside) - Cuddle up, watch movies, drink hot chocolate, play board games. on Sunday say good-night to the Bears for their looong winter nap. |
